When is Rockin The River?

Rockin The River will take place August 10, 2024. The event begins at 10:00am, though flotillas will be departing at scheduled time slots throughout the day.

Where does Rockin The River take place?

The event will begin at Klondike Sports Park in Wasaga Beach, ON (Address: 1888 Klondike Park Road, Wasaga Beach, ON). It ends at the Free Spirit Tours base near the Schoonertown Bridge in Wasaga Beach, ON (Address: 28 Sunset Ct, Wasaga Beach, ON).

Where do I park?

Parking is FREE, and first come, first served. Please park conscientiously, leaving space for others.

There is lots of parking available in the paved lot as you enter Klondike Sports Park, as well as some spots along the grass a bit closer to the COATV clubhouse and the river access point.

Please do not park down the hill, right at the river’s edge. This is a public access point to the river; it is a busy, designated turnaround area and parking is not permitted by the Town.

How do I get back to my vehicle?

Participants will be shuttled by bus back to the Sports Park to get their vehicle. If you have your own boat, please choose that option when registering and you will be included in the shuttle back along with transportation for your boat.

Can I bring my own stand up paddle board (SUP)?

If you have experience paddling ~10km on your paddle board and are comfortable with what you’re committing to, then you can absolutely use your paddle board. Be sure to bring all necessary safety equipment and be aware that there may be small obstacles, shallow spots, and small rapid sections where you could catch your fins on something or scratch your board.

Can I bring a floatie as my vessel?

While they’re certainly a fun novelty, unfortunately floaties are NOT permitted as a means of transportation on our guided tour. For more information about floaties and water safety click here.

Are there any washrooms available?

There are washrooms at the start in the Sports Park and there is a washroom at the end at the Free Spirit Tours base.  We recommend going before you head out on the water.

This is an outdoor event. What happens if it's raining?

With the exception of extreme weather, the show will go on, rain or shine! We recommend checking the weather forecast and dressing for the weather. There’s no bad weather, just bad clothing!

If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather we will refund your tickets. If the event is still running but you choose not to participate, there will be no refunds as this is a special event (not one our typical tours that are easy to re-book).

What should I bring?

Water to drink (in a day pack so it’s easy to carry), a water resistant camera and sunscreen.

What should I wear?

Sun hat, bathing suit, clothes you don’t mind getting wet, water shoes or sandals. Dress for the weather!

How much are tickets?

Bring your own canoe or kayak: $50 + HST + fees
Single Kayak (1 person):               $90 + HST + fees
Tandem Kayak (2 people):           $165 + HST + fees
Canoe (2-3 people):                       $165 + HST + fees

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets will be available for purchase on the home page of this website starting May 1, 2024.

When will tickets go on sale?

Tickets will be available on May 1, 2024.

Can I buy tickets at the event?

Unfortunately not. This is a pre-registered, guided tour with a fixed amount of equipment. We maintain a certain ratio of participants to guides to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. We recommend you purchase your tickets online ASAP to avoid disappointment!

What's your refund policy?

Full refund (less Showpass’ fees) available 7 days or more before the event. No refunds within 7 days of the event.

If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather we will refund your tickets. If the event is still running but you choose not to participate due to weather, there will be no refunds as this is a special event (not one our typical tours that are easy to re-book).
